The Walker Outreach Foundation was established in 2005. The Founder/Director of the foundation is Henry Walker Jr. Henry was born in Jackson, Mississippi and moved to Lorain Ohio at an early age. He attended Lakeview Elementary, Irving Jr High School and graduated from Lorain High School. Henry attended Bluffton College where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and he also worked at Ford Motor Co. (Lorain Plant).
Throughout the years Henry began to get into trouble with the law which stemmed from alcohol, drugs, and the fast pace of the streets. In 1992, Henry was sentenced to prison where he served 12 years.
It was during this time that Henry discovered himself and what his goals were to be upon his release from prison. He began to realize all of the people he could help and prevent from returning back to prison. He is very aware of how the Judicial System works and he knows what to do to prevent recidivism and he absolutely believes in giving individuals a second chance at life as long as they are ready and willing to change.
Henry formed a team of productive, positive people and shared his plans, ideas and experience with them, resulting in the formation of the Walker Outreach Foundation. Thus far, the program has been very successful, additionally, he is seeking to broaden his horizons by giving those who have been convicted of felonies an opportunity to work and become productive citizens. He's also preparing those individuals who remain incarcerated - for their release back into society.
Henry, and his staff are looking forward to the Walker Outreach Foundation becoming a greater success and in the near future welcoming the expansion into a Community Center... The Walker Outreach Foundation is looking forward to providing outstanding service to you in the future...
